Where Does the Oil Supply Chain Stand At This Time?
The oil and lubricant supply chain landscape remains challenging. Many of our vendor suppliers continue to be impacted by factors affecting their ability to procure raw materials for our industry. While we are not alone in this, we do pride ourselves on being better equipped than our peers and able to respond better to these challenges. I believe we have stayed true to this over the past few months. We appreciate your continued patience and understanding as we navigate these extraordinary times and grow our mutual business. Through all of the challenges of Allocations by Suppliers, Shutdowns and Shipping Constraints, Allied has maintained Supply of the millions of gallons we provide to our customers. We will continue to service you and hope to see these costs get back under control by the end of the year.

Tell us about yourself, your family, and what you enjoy doing when you have free time.
I am a mother of three grown sons. One lives in Cedar Falls, IA, another lives in Ames, IA and the last lives in Langley, British Columbia. I’m a happy Grandma to six (almost seven) grandchildren. I moved from Council Bluffs, IA to Waterloo, IA in August 2019. I did so to be be closer to four of my grandkids.
How long have you been at your current position and what do you enjoy most about your job?
I started working at Allied’s Marion, IA (Cedar Rapids) location in August 2019. Although, I’ve been with Allied for almost 13-years, in the Credit Department. What I enjoy most is talking to different people when I make phone calls and collecting money.
If someone were to call and ask you what you like most about Allied, what would you say?
What I like about Allied are the people. Not being at the corporate office makes it a bit harder to place faces with names, so I like seeing pictures of everyone in the newsletter.
Do you have any special or humorous stories/memories regarding Allied?
One of the funnier stories (or maybe not at the time) was getting locked in the office building. Everyone up front had left and didn’t notice three of us were still in the back. An oil warehouse manager was located and was asked to reset the alarm after we left.
